  • Pasta
  • Pasta sauce
  • Minced meat
  • White onion (red onion also works)

Steps

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the pasta (cook for 6-12 minutes)
  2. While the water heats, you can do the following steps, but keep an eye on the pasta cooking time
  3. Dice the onion
  4. Pour oil into an empty pan and add the chopped onion over medium heat
  5. Stir constantly so the onion doesn't burn, until it becomes translucent
  6. Add the minced meat and keep stirring (breaking it up) until it turns brown
  7. Add the pasta sauce and stir briefly
  8. Drain the cooked pasta and toss it with the meat sauce (or simply pour the finished sauce over the pasta)

Notes

Spaghetti bolognese is a simple, quick home-style Western dish with a rich sauce and firm pasta, perfect for busy days. Minced meat and onion combined with ready-made pasta sauce quickly provide protein and carbohydrates, and the onion adds dietary fiber. It's very beginner-friendly, needing only simple chopping and frying; once practiced you can have it on the table in 15 minutes, more satisfying than instant noodles.

Calculation:
Before each preparation, decide how many servings you plan to make. One serving is just enough for 2 people.

Per serving:

  • Pasta 180 g (adjust to appetite)
  • Minced meat 80 g (adjust to appetite)
  • Onion, a good half (about 150 g, usually twice the weight of the meat)
  • Pasta sauce 300 g (adjust as needed)
  • Cooking oil 10-15ml
  • Pasta comes in many thicknesses; check the cooking time on the box before cooking
  • Pasta sauce is not ketchup. What we usually call tomato sauce is ketchup; pasta sauce and ketchup are both seasoned tomato sauces, but with different seasonings
