  • Crushed ice
  • Iced soda water
  • Juicer
  • Highball glass
  • Muddler

Steps

  1. Cut one half of a lime into small pieces and place them in the highball glass. Use the muddler to crush them and extract the juice.
  2. Place 3 to 4 mint leaves along the rim and place them into the cup.
  3. Add 20ml of syrup.
  4. Add 45ml of Gold Rum.
  5. Squeeze the remaining half of the lime and add the juice into the cup.
  6. Gently stir to loosen the sugar/syrup.
  7. Add crushed ice until it fills 3/4 of the cup.
  8. Add iced soda water until just enough to cover the crushed ice.
  9. Stir gently for half a minute.
  10. Top up the highball glass with crushed ice.
  11. Muddle the remaining mint sprig and insert it into the crushed ice as a garnish.
