Ingredients

  • Bottled coconut milk (bottle with a wide mouth is best)
  • Brown sugar coffee powder (yellow coarse grains)

Steps

  1. Pour out 200ml from a 500ml bottle of bottled coconut milk and tighten the cap immediately.
  2. Place the bottle of coconut milk in the refrigerator's freezer section and freeze for more than 10 hours.
  3. Remove the frozen bottle. If you confirm that the coconut milk inside is completely frozen, vigorously tap the bottle against hard surfaces like a corner of a wall, chair back, or table edge. (Please ensure the surface will not be damaged).
  4. Once tapped until the frozen coconut milk turns into a slush state, open the bottle cap and pour out the slush.
  5. Evenly sprinkle brown sugar coffee powder or crushed nuts on the surface of the slush.
  6. Done.

Notes

Sugar Coconut Slush is a fast-paced cold drink full of tropical flair. The sweet coconut aroma blends with the burnt scent of coarse yellow brown sugar, creating a dense and refreshing texture. Coconut water is rich in natural electrolytes and minerals, providing quick hydration, while the brown sugar coffee powder adds carb energy. The barrier to entry is extremely low; as long as you freeze the coconut milk hard first and tap it into a sand/ice state, it is stress-free for beginners. It takes more than 10 hours to prepare from freezing to serving, but the hands-on work takes only a few minutes, making it very suitable for a leisurely afternoon treat.
